Description

This mural represents unconditional love, blessings, and kindness. The image shows different First Nations artistic styles: Anishinaabe, Cree, and Coast Salish. A man and woman embracing are surrounded by teepee poles representing home and the bond between them. Sharifah tells women's traditional stories in a modern context using bright colours and traditional designs to portray a story. This mural's message is about love between two people and the strength of their bond. Sharifah and Corey are using the stylistic forms of different cultures to show this which is uncommon in contemporary art.
