Description

Born in 1933, Mark di Suvero pioneered the use of a crane as a sculptor's working tool and currently lives in Astoria, Queens. He often works on an architectural, monumental scale, creating abstract dynamic sculptures largely from industrial steel I-beams, each weighing many tons.
