Description

Folk art scene depicting a woman on a tiger, a monkey, a bird set within a floral jungle. The colours are vibrant and juxtaposed against black and white geometrics. The woman on the tiger is a reference to the goddess Durga, the warrior goddess, as well as a nod to the graphic novel Priya's Shakti. Priya is a sexual assault survivor who fights for women's rights in India. Shakti means feminine power but I wanted to also create something light and vibrant to get people through Vancouver's grey days.
