Description

"Élan vital" ("vital impetus" in English) is a term coined by French philosopher Henri Bergson in 1907. It means, the vital force or impulse of life; especially creativily, a principle held by Bergson to be immanent in all organisms and responsible for evolution. Made of forged and fabricated steel, this work was commissioned by the Committee on Public Art (COPA).
