Description

This artwork is part of a multi-site and multi-media permanent installation in the San Francisco neighborhoods of the Mission and SOMA, linking the two through a layered audio/visual arts walk.

From the artist:
“I’m trying to address the inspiration, the motivation, and the feelings involved with not giving up, and being tenacious, and to keep on doing the right thing without necessarily seeing concrete results.” (SFWeekly)

“The trapeze artists are dependent on each other, so it’s really about relationships that you need to survive.” (AKLEMBA)

The work becomes interactive when viewers call in to hear the wall “speak.” This audio program includes music by John Santos and poetry by Marilyn Buck.

Inscription:
“Special Thanks to: John Fadeff, Ron Moore, Sam Stoller, Daniel Johnson, Laurie Amat & U-SAVE Rentals
Partial Funding: Zellerbach Family Fund • San Francisco Arts Commission
Dedicated to: Political Prisoners Everywhere • Memory of – Jon Kaplan + Tricia Sullivan

This project is part of the artist’s Break the Silence Mural and Arts Program.
