Art Enables is a gallery for emerging artists with developmental disabilities. With ages ranging from 27-75, the artists come to the studio on assigned days and create artwork that is off-beat, unexpected, and outrageously beautiful.
The gallery/studio was built in the late 1920's as the first library for the neighborhood (and then went on to become many different businesses) but still retains the original soaring pressed tin ceilings found in many businesses along this little gem of a strip on Rhode Island Ave in NE DC.
The studio is open from 9-4 monday-Friday and hosts shows regularly on Saturdays. The Studio is always open for people to drop by and look at the art work and meet with the artists who enjoy the fame they receive as they continue to be collected by some of DC's biggest art collecters.

Description
