Description

This relief was commissioned when the San Francisco Mining Exchange was formed in 1862, the second oldest exchange in the U.S. after the New York Stock Exchange.

The building was only a trading hall for five years, and afterwards it was occupied by the San Francisco Curb Exchange, the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and Western Title Insurance, but it’s been vacant since 1979.

Location

350 Bush Street, formerly the California State Chamber of Commerce
